BFC core values and objectives
Stop the threat for humans and animals caused by animal diseases like High Pathogen Avian Influenza (HPAI)!
BFC concentrates its activities on efficient prevention and control measures and on effective outbreak response management to stop possible HPAI outbreak within 48 hours after its confirmation with respect to human health and animal welfare.
Although HPAI is a bird disease and not a human disease, it has the potential to infect people who are in close contact with birds and their humidity.
BFC participates in projects
- To reduce the risk of exposure of the human population to avian influenza viruses
- To minimize the number of animals slaughtered due to disease outbreaks
- To improve the bio-security of practices undertaken to control animal disease outbreaks
